Wrieuw is very proud to present "omno" by Broads, the perfect companion to the winter months. Broads is James Ferguson of Norwich, Norfolk, who was once in a mighty fine band called Tiger MC's. Broads is his solo project of "whispery drone-folk" which has some previous form releasing on interesting formats, having had previous releases on SD Card and cassette on Fuseblab.

I often try to describe releases myself but James posted a nice blog post about the release on his tumblr so I thought it would be better to leave it to him.

‘Omno’ is a bloody-minded little midi arpeggio backed with the unsold Philicorda. It feels like an intro to something, so it goes first – track sequencing at its finest. It’s already ‘out’ ‘there’ as the soundtrack to my friend Dom’s charity faceshave – pop over to have a listen, and add to the fundraising effort by buying anything at all from the Broads bandcamp site before 14/12.

‘Lamb’ is a fragment of a track that I had left over from the Care & Handling sessions, crushed down and re-edited just for fun. Blink and miss it (not that you can blink your ears, but you know what I mean. It’s short.)

‘Yawn Dominoes’ pitches itself somewhere between ‘Marine Layer’ and ‘Care & Handling’… a kind of lolling drone lullaby. For Mirah.
